In a recent segment on Youtube, journalist Jorge Nicola claimed that Arsenal are showing interest in Atlético Mineiro starlet Alisson Santana. However, it is believed that the Gunners are yet to make any offers for the Brazilian wide player.

Alisson’s Impressive Rise In Brazilian Football

The 18-year-old has come through the youth ranks of Atletico Mineiro and has done well to establish himself as a first-team member for them recently. Alisson has already made 11 senior appearances for the Brazilian club thus far, finding the back of the net once and earning one assist in all competitions.

The talented teenager has caught the eye with his performances on the right side of Atletico Mineiro’s attack. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth in top-flight football.

The Brazilian whizkid is under contract at his current club until the end of 2027. Thus, the Gunners would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting him in the upcoming transfer window.

Arsenal Are Showing Interest In Alisson Santana: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Alisson is a decent dribbler with the ball and can make a few driving runs with the ball out on the flanks. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates up top and can strike the ball purely from long range.

The Brazilian prospect is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also function as a left-winger or play in the number ten position if told to do so by his manager. He is currently enjoying his foot at the Brazilian club. However, only time will tell whether Alisson can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of English football.

Still, there is no denying that he is a prospect to watch out for in the future. Thus, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta would do well to bring him on board later this year. At 18, Alisson has the potential to become a world-class winger someday which makes him a great fit for the North London club’s needs in the long run. However, Arteta would have to be patient with his progress if he wants to unlock the best out of the youngster
