Steve Kay of Football Transfers has revealed in his exclusive report that Arsenal are very confident of signing Martin Zubimendi in the summer transfer window and are ready to have discussions with the representatives of the player. The Gunners have been interested in the defensive midfielder in the last two transfer windows.
He has been an important player for both Real Sociedad and Spain. The Spaniard is a standout defensive midfielder for Real Sociedad, known for his tactical intelligence and composure on the ball. He excels in maintaining possession under pressure, often acting as the metronome in the midfield. His ability to read the game allows him to intercept passes and break up opposition plays effectively.
Zubimendi’s passing is precise, helping to initiate attacks from deep positions. He’s also strong in the air and defensively solid, making him a reliable shield for the backline. Therefore, he will definitely be a perfect option for Mikel Arteta, who is looking for a holding midfielder.
