Arsenal will be without Eddie Nketiah for three games after their appeal against his red card tackle against Leicester was rejected.

The 21-year-old was initially shown a yellow card by referee Chris Kavanagh for his challenge on James Justin, which was later upgraded to red following VAR intervention.

Arsenal appealed on the grounds of wrongful decision and excessive punishment – in hope of seeing the ban reduced – but both counts have since been dismissed.

Nketiah will now miss Premier League clashes against Tottenham and Liverpool, and the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.
