Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

The England international has joined the north London club for an initial £60million, with a further £7.5million in potential add-ons.

Eze signs a four-year contract, with the option of a fifth, and will wear the No 10 shirt at the Emirates.

The announcement comes ahead of Arsenal’s first home game of the season against newly-promoted Leeds United this Saturday.

Eze had been a top target for Tottenham over the summer, with the north London rivals even agreeing terms with both him and Palace. However, Arsenal swooped in on Wednesday, and the boyhood Gunners fan opted to return to the club where he began his youth career.
