Arsenal and Manchester United are among the Premier League clubs chasing a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
The defensive midfielder has turned the heads of England’s elite with a number of eye-catching performances for the Italian outfit and is being scouted by several sides heading into the summer transfer window.
Arsenal and Manchester United are each in the market for a defensive midfielder, while Gazzetta dello Sport claim Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle, and Juventus are also monitoring the Brazilian.
Newcastle were linked with a bid in January, though the 24-year-old’s valuation in excess of £30m was beyond the Magpies as the club look to remain compliant with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Ederson ranks in the top 10 per cent of midfielders in Serie A this season for combined tackles and interceptions, progressive passes, dribblers tackled, and tackles won, and in the 89th percentile of aerial duels won per 90.
He has also shown an improved eye for goal this season with five goals in 23 league appearances for the Serie A side, having scored just once in 2022/23.
