Des Buckingham, speaking to BBC Radio Oxford Sport’s The Dub podcast, revealed, “In terms of the analyst, the name of the analyst is Joe Moore. I worked with him in New Zealand. He headed up the analysis team there for the senior men’s national team across the age groups, and worked at Fulham before that.

“He’s currently serving his notice period at Arsenal, where he’s been working with the women, leading the women’s side, but works heavily and links with the men’s side.”

Moore has been assisting Oxford United in an unofficial capacity alongside Isaac Alder.

On his impending full-time role, Buckingham commented, “He’s just working out a notice period at the moment, but he is working off-site with Isaac behind the scenes, to make sure that we’ve got everything that we need to prepare as well as we can before he gets physically in the building.

“I’ll be very happy when Joe gets in the building as it will allow us to do that little bit more, and then it can give us a chance to reassess what’s best for everybody at the end of the season.”

Arsenal and Oxford United, marking a transition of a key staff member who has contributed significantly to Arsenal Women’s analytical approach. Buckingham’s remarks highlight the value Moore brings, shaped by his experience at Arsenal and previous roles.
