Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Youri Tielemans, who is keen to join, but the Gunners haven’t decided whether to bid for him.

Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports reports that Arsenal are still yet to make a formal offer for Youri Tielemans, but technical director Edu is still in touch with the player’s agent.

Tielemans is keen to join, and Arsenal have agreed personal terms with him, after working on the deal for a year. If Arsenal reach an agreement with Leicester, Jacobs understands that the midfielder will sign.

Yet the Gunners have never placed an official bid, and they’re reportedly still deciding whether they want to.

Manchester United are also interested in Tielemans, which may push Arsenal to make a decision.

Tielemans wasn’t interested in joining United under Ralf Rangnick, but he may be open to a pitch from Erik ten Hag. Arsenal currently have a free run at the signing, but that may not be the case for long.

Charles Watts and David Ornstein have both previously reported that Arsenal haven’t fully pulled out of the race for Tielemans, they’ve just been prioritising other positions.

Watts and Ornstein claim Arsenal could return for the midfielder later in the window, especially if they make any sales in the middle.

Tielemans’ contract runs out in 2023, and Leicester are keen to sell to generate funds for their summer business. A deal should be very possible if Arsenal want it.
