Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and William Saliba would be 'perfectly happy' to extend their stay at the Emirates due to the Gunners' upward trajectory as a club, journalist Paul Brown has informed GIVEMESPORT.

Both players have been pivotal for Mikel Arteta this campaign, performing starring roles in their pursuit of the Premier League title.

Arsenal Contract News - Bukayo Saka and William Saliba

Earlier this year, ESPN reported that both Saka and Saliba had their contracts extended in London by a year by the club while long-term discussions over their future continue.

The pair were set to be out of contract at the end of the campaign; however, are now tied to the Gunners until the summer of 2024.

Saka is set to see his contract incur a pay raise of around £200,000, which would be a massive upgrade on his current £53,000 per week earnings at Arsenal.

On the other hand, there is growing confidence that an agreement can be found with Saliba in the coming months, who earns £36,000 per week, as per Salary Sport.

The Athletic has revealed that the 21-year-old is said to be "so happy" at the club as talks continue, though his focus at present is on trying to win the Premier League title.

What has Paul Brown said about Saka and Saliba?

Journalist Brown has let slip that Arsenal are not 'terrible concerned' over speculation surrounding their future as both players are 'perfectly happy' at the Emirates.

Brown told GMS: "They don't seem to be terribly concerned about either player and if things keep going the way they are, with Arsenal at the top of the league and threatening to win it, I think both those players are perfectly happy there and will be willing to sign frankly."

Should Arsenal tie Saka and Saliba down to long-term contracts?

In short, Saka and Saliba are two of the most talented youngsters in the Premier League and it would be a travesty if Arsenal were to fail to give them long-term deals moving forward.

In 2022/23, the £90m-rated Saka has been exceptional to watch, recording seven goals and seven assists in 19 Premier League fixtures, as per Transfermarkt.

His £45m-rated teammate Saliba has been rock solid at the back as well, with WhoScored noting that he has made an average of 3.1 clearances per match in the Premier League this term.

Conceivably, they could have a Premier League medal under their belt this year if Arsenal manage to sustain their charge for the title successfully.
