Liverpool will be looking to maintain their impressive form when they face Newcastle United in the Premier League on Wednesday night at Anfield.
The Reds are heading into this game on the back of a 2-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium and have extended their lead at the top to 11 points.
They now face the Magpies, who are aiming to secure Champions League football this season.
Ahead of the game, Arne Slot has shared the latest team news. Alexis MacAllister sustained bruising to his face in the previous game, but the Reds boss has confirmed that the Argentine should be able to play.
“Yes, I think he will [be available]. He will train with us today,” Slot said.
Liverpool will definitely be without Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley for this game. Gomez has recently undergone surgery while Bradley picked up a muscle injury against Aston Villa.
Slot said about Bradley: “He is out for a few weeks. I cannot tell exactly how many but it is clear that he went off with a muscle injury and that it is going to take a while before he is back.”
Trent Alexander-Arnold will continue in the right-back role, while Jarell Quansah can be used from the bench.
With the games coming thick and fast, Slot could be tempted to rotate his squad in the coming games to keep the players fit and fresh.
The likes of Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliott, and Federico Chiesa have not featured regularly, but they are all capable of making important contributions.
