Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott could become a key player under new head coach Arne Slot next season.
The 2023/24 campaign, particularly the back end, saw the 21-year-old force his way into former manager Jurgen Klopp's plans thus prompting the German to share his regret about not giving the £4.3m signing from Fulham more game time.
Although when Elliott was handed a opportunity, he more than repaid the faith with some stellar performances.
Starting the final four games of the season, Elliott registered an assist in three of them as well as netting a wondergoal in front of the Kop as the Reds beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-2.

Not selected by England manager Gareth Southgate for this summer's European Championships may have been a blow for the player but he can use the snub as fuel to establish himself in the Liverpool team to help his cause of making the World Cup squad in two years' time.
Having said that, there are positives with regard to Elliott not being called up by the senior England national team. One being he will be afforded a nice break (after finishing up with the U21s) meaning he will be among the first batch of players to report for pre-season training next month.
Though more than capable of operating out wide, as seen with him covering for Mohamed Salah at times, it would appear that Elliott's best position is in the middle of the park and he's already been compared to Martin Odegaard by Owen Hargreaves.
Of course, the youngster has some way to go before reaching the level of the Arsenal captain, but former Liverpool midfielder Patrik Berger is of the opinion that Elliott is good enough to be playing regularly.
"Harvey Elliott is a great player, I like to watch him," he said when speaking to the Liverpool Echo. "Liverpool don't have anybody like that in the middle of the field, he's the one that tries to create, he has a good shot, great vision, he's someone they need in the team.
"But sometimes it has been difficult for him because the way Jurgen Klopp played, the three midfield players were hard-working so it was hard to find a spot for Harvey. But every time he played he proved he's good enough to be playing regularly."
Form wise, Elliott has certainly forced himself into the conversation as to what Liverpool's best midfield set-up under Slot will look like and there's a strong argument that he's ahead of last summer's big-money summer signings Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch in the pecking order.
