Arne Slot confirms he will not join Spurs

Feyenoord boss Arne Slot will not take over as the new head coach at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Dutchman had been strongly linked with a move to north London after leading the Rotterdam outfit to a surprise Eredivisie title this season.

But he has now told AD that he has no intention of departing De Kuip and will stay for their Champions League adventure.

“I’ve read the rumours but my wish is to stay at Feyenoord and continue what we have built over the last two seasons,” he said.

“There have been no negotiations with other clubs.

“The only talks have been with Feyenoord about renewing my contract and now I’m looking forward to next season.”

With Slot out of the running, Luis Enrique now moves back into the role of favourite for the job.
