Argentine media claim Paredes renewal contains Boca release clause

Leandro Paredes has officially renewed with Roma until June 30, 2026, but a special clause is said to have been inserted into the contract that could anticipate his return to Argentina.

Starting in May 2025, Boca Juniors will be able to purchase the midfielder for 3.5 million euros, presenting a written offer that will oblige Roma to sell him.

The agreement, already formalized and signed, was reported by Argentine journalist Gastón Edul of TyC Sports.

Paredes, who grew up in the youth sector of Boca Juniors, has always expressed his desire to return to the Argentine club, and this clause represents a concrete opportunity for his return to Buenos Aires.
