World Cup winners Argentina were back in action last night and fans had Lionel Messi in tears before he sent them wild with a vintage free-kick.

The reception for the homecoming world champions was worth the wait as fans serenaded the team that ended their 36-year wait to win the biggest prize in football once again. And the atmosphere had Messi in tears.
