A strong performance from captain Lautaro Martinez was a bright spot for Inter Milan in their Serie A draw against Bologna yesterday.

Inter captain Lautaro Martinez was not able to deliver three points for his team yesterday against Bologna.

However, it was certainly not for lack of trying.

Martinez did manage to get on the scoresheet.

The Argentine has not been having the best of seasons in front of goal. But he showed his lethal edge to finish a flowing counterattack very well right at the end of the first half yesterday,

Beyond his goal, Martinez looked very hungry yesterday.

The 27-year-old was constantly looking to find space and link up with teammates.

Martinez’s energy and intensity were key to the Nerazzurri finding their groove in attack after a flat start to the match.

And there were some excellent touches and flicks from the Inter captain. He certainly could have grabbed an assist in the first half.

In the second half, Martinez came off for Mehdi Taremi. He had run himself into the ground for the team.

But in the view of the Gazzetta, there was little more that the Inter captain could have done.
