Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will be rotating his squad significantly for this evening’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen match. Of that there’s no doubt.

But at the same time, the Nerazzurri coach is certainly not treating this evening’s clash with the Rossoblu as a throwaway match. Far from it.

Inter have won each of the past two Coppa Italia trophies. And they certainly want to make it three in a row.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri coach will aim to put out a strong enough team that Inter can reach the quarterfinals against Bologna.

Perhaps the most apt representation of this will be the coach’s selection in attack, according to Sky.

Lautaro & Arnautovic To Lead The Line For Inter Vs Bologna

On the one hand, former West Ham United and Stoke City striker Arnautovic will start.

There is no question that the 34-year-old is a backup option. But Inzaghi will entrust Arnautovic in attack against his old team Bologna.

But it will be Inter captain Martinez playing alongside the Austrian in attack.

Inzaghi still wants the firepower of his top scorer on the pitch. Moreover, Martinez is also the player who leads from the front in many respects.

Meanwhile, Sky reports that former Bayern Munich defender Pavard will be on the bench to start this match.

In all likelihood, the Frenchman will appear at some stage.

But Inzaghi will not throw Pavard right into the starting lineup.

The 27-year-old was an unused substitute against Lazio on Sunday. That was the first time that he had been in a matchday squad since returning from a knee injury.

Sky’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven for this evening’s match is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Audero; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Frattesi, Asllani, Klaassen, Carlos Augusto; Arnautovic, Lautaro.
