Jorginho joined Chelsea in the summer of 2018. Brought in by Maurizio Sarri, the Italian has been an enigmatic figure at the club.

With him initially struggling for game time after the restart last season, there was talk of him moving to Juventus in the summer. With Sarri no more in charge it would appear that the Old Lady is no more an option.

However, a spate of injuries saw him enjoy a spell of games on the trot. He also started the FA Cup final against Arsenal at Wembley.

Although both Frank Lampard and Jorginho have insisted that the player’s focus is completely on Chelsea, his agent had left the door open on a return to Italy. (h/t Standard)

The Italian international has played in both of Chelsea’s Premier League matches this season. With one goal and one assist already, he is off to a decent start.

He, however, struggled against Liverpool and even went on to miss a penalty. Frank Lampard is expected to trim his squad before the window closes on October 5. (h/t Metro)
