Barcelona will face off against Rayo Vallecano at the Vallecas Stadium this Saturday afternoon as they try to secure a good result in La Liga. The Catalan club managed to earn a 2-1 win over Deportivo Alaves before the international break which should give them some momentum ahead of this game.
Xavi will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could name a strong first XI for this game. Both Ronald Araujo and Alejandro Balde will get a chance to impress from the start of this contest in La Liga.
Defence
Marc-Andre ter Stegen is a concern ahead of this game but should get the nod to feature in between the sticks for Barca if he can recover in time for this game. Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde will function as Xavi’s primary centre-halves as they look to keep a clean sheet on the road this weekend.
Joao Cancelo will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Alejandro Balde hopes to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Marcos Alonso will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield
Pedri, Ilkay Gundogan and Fermin Lopez will make up Xavi’s midfield as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and engineer enough chances for Barca to win this contest.
Oriol Romeu will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if Xavi opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Joao Felix will get a chance to catch the eye as the left-winger while Lamine Yamal looks to prove his worth on the right flank. Robert Lewandowski will once again lead the line for the Catalan giants up top.
Raphinha and Ferran Torres will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if Barca are in need of a goal by then.
