APOEL’s social media released a statement announcing the release of Mexican goalkeeper Raúl Gudiño after an unsuccessful loan spell.
The 2017-18 season did not go to plan for Gudiño as the Cpyriot champions announced on Friday that they were ending his loan spell.
The 22-year-old was shaping up to be the starter, however, he was never able to secure the starting position. Gudiño only made three appearances all year, once coming off the bench in their Champions League tie against Borussia Dortmund for the second half of their 1-1 draw.
The future of the Chivas youth product will be in the hands of his parent club FC Porto, who have yet to play him in a first-team match since securing his permanent transfer from Chivas for €1.3m. A number of Liga MX teams are said to be demanding his services.
