Chelsea were thrashed 5-0 by Arsenal in the Premier League last night, and there are now claims that the owners do not have the club’s best interests at heart if they do not do one thing right now.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were truly embarrassed by Arsenal last night, even if the manager deludedly claims that they were not.

And once again, Blues fans are calling for the Argentine to be sacked on the spot, and some of them wanted him sacked last night, according to The Daily Mirror.

They say that Chelsea supporters were calling for Todd Boehly to dismiss Pochettino after the Blues’ humbling defeat away to Arsenal last night.

“A sackable offense,” one wrote. “One of the worst and most damning losses in the history of Chelsea Football Club. If the owners and the sporting directors don’t sack Pochettino today, tomorrow, or later this week, then I’m not sure they have the club’s best interest at heart.”

“I’ve been in Pochettino’s defence a lot this season with the fact that the squad was not good enough but this result today was inexcusable,” wrote another. “He can get the sack and while we’re clearing house take all these players with you bar [Cole] Palmer, [Reece] James and [Malo] Gusto.”

“Any serious club sacks Pochettino tonight,” was the verdict from a third. “If they wanted a project, they wouldn’t have sacked [Graham] Potter after a few months. Poch has done much worse than Potter, so why does he deserve more time? Especially when Potter actually is a project manager and Poch isn’t.”

It’s hard to disagree with any of the above as well, and if even the fans who have been defending Pochettino are losing it, then really, it is now over to you Boehly and co, because it’s time to pull the plug.
