Antonio Rudiger has labelled Lamine Yamal as "scary" thanks his world class performances for Barcelona at such a young age.

Yamal burst onto the scene aged just 15 years, nine months and 16 days, becoming the youngest Barca player to ever make their La Liga debut back in 2023 in a game against Real Betis.

Since them, the young wide player has gone from strength to strength, becoming a star player for both his club and senior national team.

Yamal was a key player for Spain at Euro 2024 during the summer, becoming the youngest player to ever score in the competition - scoring a stunning goal in the semi-final no less - and earning a spot in the team of the tournament thanks to his contributions to his national team's famous triumph.

The youngster has taken that form back to club level with him at the start of 2024/25 too, bagging a rather remarkable nine goal contributions - four goals and five assists - in just eight La Liga games thus far.

A player that Yamal has faced on a number of occasions in his short career thus far is Real Madrid and Germany centre-back Antonio Rudiger. Speaking on podcast The Inside Scoop, Rudiger admitted that he was very impressed by Yamal's progression, saying:

"You have to give credit where credit is due," admitted Rudiger. "He is 17, it's ridiculous. The player he is already for them at 17, it's quite scary.

"What he did in the Euros, you have to give kudos to him. He has a great future ahead.

"I think they have a player who has a [big] career and hopefully, he will stay healthy."

Rudiger and Yamal are set to go toe-to-toe in El Clasico on 26th October in La Liga, with Yamal's Barca currently leading the pack in La Liga thanks to seven wins from eight games.
