Antonio Rudiger makes big claims about club’s poor contract conduct | OneFootball

Antonio Rudiger is on his way out of Chelsea, that’s certain now.

So with the contract battle over, it’s time for the PR war to begin.

As so often these days, the opening salvo comes with an article for the Players Tribune.

In it, Rudiger says that there was no offer from the club between their initial attempt in August and a follow up in January.

If that’s true, that’s poor – it only became more clear through that time how important the German international was to the team. One can imagine Thomas Tuchel wouldn’t be very happy to hear this given how many times he made it clear he wanted to keep Rudiger.

As always with these things, you’ve got to be aware you’re only hearing one side of the story – and it’s not like Marina Granovskaia is going to do a Players’ Tribune piece to give her side of the story.
