SportWitness today has a nice rundown of the situation regarding Antonio Rudiger, whose contract expires this summer.
They point out that there is now a preference on the part of the player over where to go, should no better offers emerge.
He is apparently keen on a move to Juventus, if Chelsea don’t up their offer. The Blues can’t actually sign any contracts at the moment because of the sanctions on the club, giving other teams every chance they might need to prise him away.
PSG and Real Madrid are named as teams who have made offers, but it seems a return to Serie A where he played with Roma before coming to Chelsea is currently Rudiger’s priority.
We still think he could yet be persuaded to stay at Chelsea if the right offer is made – but until the new ownership is in place (and that could take weeks) nothing can be decided.
