“El Turco” could come to Chivas to conclude the 2021 Apertura tournament.
The run of bad results at Chivas have ignited the rumours that Victor Manuel Vucetich could be sacked, with many in the media claiming that his future would depend on the result against Necaxa.
The names of his potential replacements have not taken long to emerge. In addition to Jaime Lozano and Diego Alonso, Antonio Mohamed is on the shortlist to take over the Flock.
According to information from Mediotiempo, the Argentine boss is currently leading the race to replace King Midas and return to Mexican football.
Mohamed most recently managed at Rayados, where he enjoyed a very successful second stint, winning both the Copa MX and Liga MX titles while guiding Monterrey to a third-place finish at the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup.
