We have officially reached the eve of the Concacaf Champions League and the whole of Mexico cannot wait for this historic encounter between Rayados and América.

Antonio Mohamed has had the pleasure of managing both sides and is looking to give Monterrey their fifth continental title (2011, 2012, 2013, 2019).

“It is more difficult to deal with. It’s a monster with a million heads that sometimes overwhelms you when you are not focused on your work or not listening.

“The year with América cost me a lot because I was very focused on what they thought of the team and I really spent a lot of my energy on them.”

Of course, Mohamed won a Liga MX title with América in 2014, announcing he would be leaving the club the day before the second leg of the Liga MX final.

With Rayados, he has been very successful as well, winning three trophies (two Copa MX, one Liga MX) as well as guiding them to a third-place finish at the 2019 Club World Cup.
