Antonio Conte wants ‘a project in line with his expectations’ to stay at Inter for next season, according to a leading Italian broadcaster today.

As per Sport Mediaset (via FcInter1908.it), Conte is being linked in England with a move to replace Jose Mourinho as Tottenham Hotspur’s head coach.

Inter president Steven Zhang has the challenge of persuading Conte to swiftly reject their offer, but he can only do that by presenting his plans to Conte.

Sorting Conte’s future is the first step towards preparing Inter’s Serie A title defence for next season, the report claimed, with updates expected in the next few days.

Inter already began discussing their future plans when everybody met at Appiano Gentile yesterday to celebrate winning the scudetto.

Conte reportedly wants four signings to strengthen his squad in the summer, but he might not want to stay if Inter are forced to sell key players to balance their books, as is being rumoured.
