Antonio Conte dismisses Juventus rumours as disrespectful | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has shrugged off the rumours linking him with a move to Juventus.

Reports have been circulating that the Italian giants have identified Conte as the successor to Max Allegri, who has been underperforming this season.

Allegri has found himself in the firing line, with the Old Lady currently eighth in the Serie A table, and they have lost both their Champions League games against Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica.

Reports of contract talks between Conte and Spurs stalling – his current deal expires next summer – have sparked rumours of his return to Turin.

However, Conte has now rubbished those speculations as disrespectful for him and Allegri, insisting that he is happy at Tottenham.

Speaking in the press conference ahead of the Premier League clash against Arsenal, Conte said (h/t football.london): “This is incredible. In this period I think this is disrespectful for the coach that works in Juventus and for me working in Tottenham. We have just started the season.

“Many times I have spoken about this topic and I’ve always said I’m happy and enjoying my time with Tottenham. We have the whole season to find the best solution for the club and for me and for sure I’m enjoying my time at Tottenham.

“I have a great relationship with the owner and Paratici. I don’t see any problems at the moment in the future. We both signed the contract. I don’t want to listen to someone speaking about this [linked elsewhere].”

The Italian turned Spurs’ fortunes around after taking charge midway through last season, leading them to a fourth-place finish in the Premier League.

Spurs are third in the league table this season, and they will take on leaders Arsenal in the north London derby on Saturday.
