Chivas centre-back Antonio Briseño began his professional career with Clásico Tapatío rivals Atlas and recalled his time at the club.
It’s customary before huge derby matches for athletes to engage in a war of words and this time is no different, with Briseño slamming Atlas for treating him badly.
“It was not difficult, one values how they treat you at a club. There are times when things go very well and there are times when everything goes very wrong.
“I wanted to leave and they wouldn’t let me. When they didn’t love me anymore, they kicked me in the ass.”
While growing up in the Atlas youth setup, Briseño was captain of the U-17 national team that won the World Cup in Mexico in 2011.
