Antoine Griezmann’s Manchester United links rejected | OneFootball

Clarification regarding the surprise media links between Manchester United and Atlético Madrid standout Antoine Griezmann has today been provided.

The name of frontman Griezmann has taken its place front and centre in the transfer headlines over the course of the last 24 hours.

This comes after reports stemming from Spain pointed towards Premier League giants Manchester United expressing a keen interest in the France international ahead of the January transfer window.

It was even suggested that the Old Trafford brass were prepared to triple Griezmann’s wages, in a bid to break his long-standing loyalty to Atlético.

As alluded to above, though, just as quickly as the rumours arrived, they have since been shot down.

As confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there is ‘nothing’ in the links between Griezmann and United.

The 32-year-old, in the midst of a scintillating campaign to date, has already rejected the chance to leave Atléti in the rear view for the riches of Saudi Arabia, with his ‘only focus’ remaining on matters in the Spanish capital.
