Antoine Griezmann has revealed his desire play at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
As part of the wider competition, the football event will kick off from July 24, just ten days after the final of Euro 2024.
Griezmann is already included in France’s squad for the latter with Les Bleus tipped as pre-tournament favourites.
Olympic rules state each squad can include a a maximum of three ‘overage’ players with the remainder required to be under 23 before the start date.
Griezmann’s France international teammate Kylian Mbappe has indicated his desire to join up, but that will be decided by his new club, likely to be confirmed as Real Madrid.
As part of the build up to Euro 2024, Griezmann was asked about his Olympic ambitions, and the 33-year-old is open to a call up, if his club allow it.
“My wish is to go to the Olympic Games, it would be a dream. It’s my club that decides and, at the moment, they are not in favour”, as per quotes from Marca.
“The decision in theirs. I will not jeopardise my future at Atletico, I want them to be my last club in Europe.”
Hosts France have been drawn in Group A at the Olympics alongside the USA, Guinea and New Zealand with Argentina and Spain in Groups B and C respectively.
