Antoine Griezmann has finally made Atlético de Madrid history, becoming the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.
The Frenchman has been on a tear so far this season, throwing it back to his old days at the club when Diego Simeone’s men were among the trophies on a regular basis.
But with a goal against rivals Real Madrid in the Supercopa de España semi-finals Wednesday night, Griezmann etched his name into history.
The deft finish to beat Kepa Arrizabalaga saw Griezmann register his 174th goal in all competitions for the Madrid club, passing Luis Aragonés.
The impressive tally came over two different stints with the club, but one thing is for sure – Griezmann will go down as a legend for the club!
