Barcelona attacker Ansu Fati says the players would welcome back Lionel Messi.

It broke yesterday that coach Xavi had asked Barca president Joan Laporta to bring Messi back to the club next summer when his deal with PSG expires.

Asked about the story, Ansu told TV3: . “It is clear that we form a great team, very competitive. The reinforcements will bring us a lot. They are all great players.

"If I would like a return from Messi? Sure! He could therefore have the farewell he deserves, through the front door, as the number one in history should do."

Of his own form, Ansu also said: "I am working to achieve this and I have no doubt that with work and sacrifice I will get there and I will be the same as before. It's true that right now I'm still not one hundred percent, but I'm getting better and better every day."
