Brighton and Hove Albion have pulled off a remarkable coup after completing the signing of winger Ansu Fati on loan from Barcelona until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old will ply his trade at the American Express Community Stadium for the 2023/24 campaign after a deal was struck between the two clubs.
However, that deal is reported not to include an option to make the move permanent next summer.
It is believed the Seagulls beat off competition from Tottenham Hotspur for the winger, who scored seven goals in 36 games last season as Barcelona won the league title.
Fati, who has been on the books of Barcelona since the age of 10, made his senior debut for the club against Real Betis in August 2019 aged just 16 years and 298 days, becoming the second youngest player to ever represent the club.
He became the youngest player in LaLiga history to score and assist in the same match in the September of that year.
