Given Chelsea’s continued struggles in front of goal, it is inevitable that any promising attacking player will eventually be touted as a potential target for us.
Step forward Benjamin Sesko. The RB Leipzig striker is looking better and better, and the 20 year old will be one of the hottest commodities on the market if he keeps up his current form. He has 5 goals in 8 games in all competitions, and is the kind of talent that all top clubs will be very seriously thinking about.
A report from Defensa Central says we would be willing to pay €100m for him – although that’s pretty hard to imagine, given we’ve spent more than €100m on two other players in the last 9 months.
The priority for now is to get Christopher Nkunku fit and see if his presence can add goals directly and indirectly to the team. If that fails, we can take a longer look at his old teammate Sesko.
