Yet another of European football’s top clubs have positioned themselves in the race for Barcelona youngster Mikayil Faye.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing sources in Italy, who point towards Premier League giants Arsenal as keen on Faye’s services.
The 19-year-old, for his part, has of course exploded onto the scene in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last couple of months, his exploits at youth level having given rise to a call-up to Xavi’s senior Barcelona squad, as well as the Senegalese national team.
With such efforts, though, has come inevitable outside interest.
Amid suggestions that Barcelona could be open to a summer sale in the face of an offer deemed too good to turn down, Faye is understood to have made his way onto the wishlist of a whole host of top outfits.
To date, the likes of Girona, Juventus, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund have all been named as keen admirers of the gifted stopper.
And Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, as alluded to above, can now be added to this list, ahead of what could prove a busy summer window ahead for Barca’s latest breakthrough talent.
