PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke has opened the door to playing for Holland.

The former Tottenham trainee, who turned down Manchester United to join PSV's academy, is a regular England youth international. However, he's now opened the door to pledging his international future to the Netherlands after the possibility was put to him during an interview this week.

When it was put to him by PSV Supporter that he could soon declare for the Oranje, Madueke, quoted by Voetbalzone, declared: "Really?! Is that possible?! Wow, I really did not know that at all.

"That would also be a very nice option. I really have a lot of admiration for Dutch football, which of course has come a long way in many major tournaments. With a very talented crop coming up.

"But, if I therefore stay at least two and a half years with PSV or in the Netherlands, could I theoretically also represent the Netherlands?

"I really feel completely at home here, so who knows how things will turn out in the future. If it is an option, I will certainly not rule it out."

Madueke's comments come just a week after Bayern Munich's former Chelsea youth teamer Jamal Musiala turned his back on England for Germany. Musiala, like Madueke a regular with England's youth teams, spoke with Three Lions coach Gareth Southgate, but chose to commit to Germany last week.

Madueke, 18, moved to PSV last year, signing a contract to 2024. So far this season, the winger has managed 24 appearances, scoring eight goals and producing eight assists.
