Welcome to the craziness of Chelsea Football Club across the last few years under the new ownership, with the latest big drama to kick off at the club over the weekend.
Chelsea fans have been left just asking for one normal day at the club as news came out that the ownership have fallen out and now one side are trying to buy out the other side.
Todd Boehly, who has a minority stake at Chelsea, has distanced himself to Behdad Eghbali and Clearlake Capital, who have the majority stake in the club. And now one side is trying to buy the other out and there is an ownership ‘civil war’ at Chelsea.
It’s far from an ideal situation and will now see the Chelsea fan base taking sides and I am sure we will see this spilling into the stands at the next game and especially the next home game at Stamford Bridge. Blues fans will be making their voices heard on all of this I have no doubts.
Speaking on The Byline last night, as cited on X, journalist Ben Jacobs was speaking about the whole situation.
He says to expect another big overhaul at Chelsea if Todd Boehly assumes full control of the club.
He says:
“If Boehly did assume control, there could be another massive overhaul which could cause more instability.”
So it’s far from a great situation for the club to now be in after a very up and down time in the last few seasons.
