An angry Luke Shaw accused José Mourinho of “picking” on him, according to a report in the British press on Friday.
The England international has felt the wrath of the manager’s ire on several occasions this season, and has started just 12 times despite being injury-free for most of the campaign.
There’s been some accusations of bullying from the Portuguese tactician towards the 22-year-old, and that has been backed up by an alleged altercation between the pair during Manchester United’s FA Cup match with Brighton earlier this month.
The Daily Mail claim that Shaw ‘angry’, and asked Mourinho: “Why are you always picking on me?”
The paper then reveals that Mourinho responded by telling Shaw that he was “not defending well enough and Brighton were having too much freedom down United’s left flank”.
The pair then ‘raised their voices’ in an argument that ‘could be heard outside the home dressing-room’.
