Foot Mercato report this morning that several French clubs are interested in bringing in Lyon midfielder Jeff Reine-Adélaïde, with the former Arsenal man still on the market after Sevilla pulled out of a prospective move for the Frenchman.
The 25-year-old’s former club Angers are notably in the race to bring him back, but face competition from an unnamed Ligue 1 rival, as well as Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.
Reine-Adélaïde has made 14 league appearances for Laurent Blanc’s men this season, and continues to recover from successive ACL injuries that kept him out for over a year and a half, truncating his spell with Les Gones as well as an initially promising loan spell down at Nice.
The Frenchman was set to join the Andalusians on an initial loan deal until the end of the season, with a permanent clause worth €12m, before the La Liga strugglers’ concerns over his fitness scuppered the transfer, even though he had successfully passed his medical.
