Roma wide Angeliño lamented the team’s individual mistakes that led to tonight’s 0-2 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
The Spanish fullback spoke to the media at full-time at the Stadio Olimpico.
“We had chances, but it didn’t go in. We made some individual mistakes, but now we have to recharge and think about the next games.”
“This is football, sometimes all the balls go in and sometimes they don’t. We did several things well, and in others we could have done better, but we had several opportunities to score.”
“We have a fantastic coach who will know what adjustments to make for the return leg. Bayer Leverkusen has been dominating for a year and we expected this level from them.”
“We started well, then there was a very unfortunate individual error. The team had to react, as they tried to do but the ball didn’t go in.”
