Di María’s current deal was set to expire in June 2019 but he has agreed to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes by a further two seasons.
“It is with great pleasure that I renew my commitment today with Paris Saint-Germain,” the 30-year-old told the club’s official website.
“For three years now, I have found here, in Paris, an extraordinary environment to flourish.
“Day after day, I feel honoured and extremely motivated to participate in such an ambitious project, as it does not exist anywhere else in Europe.
“With my team-mates, we still have many beautiful and big stories to write together to continue to increase the stature of Paris Saint-Germain on the map of international football.
“The support of all those who love this club will help us push our limits and defend this jersey with passion and determination. All together, we will still share a lot of emotions, meet many challenges. I am even convinced that the best is yet to come.”
The Argentine winger joined Les Parisiens from Manchester United in 2015 and he has so far made 150 appearances for the club, scoring 57 goals, assisting 58 others and winning an impressive 10 trophies along the way.
“I feel a great satisfaction at the time of extending the contract of Ángel Di María,” added PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
“At age 30, Angel lives a fantastic moment in his career, where the combination of his talent and his experience at the highest level rank him more than ever among the best players in the world. And it was at Paris Saint-Germain, in his club, that he chose to continue to live the best years of his career as a great player.
“Once again, the best footballers on the planet demonstrate, not only their desire to join Paris Saint-Germain, but also their deep desire to join in the long term.
“Like all of his team-mates, from the youngest to the most experienced, Ángel today strongly reaffirms his very high ambitions with his team, his club and the millions of fans who support our players with fervour and fidelity.”
