It’s difficult to argue with the assertion that Andy Robertson is the best left-back in the Premier League right now.
The Scotland international has become one of Liverpool’s key men since arriving from Hull in 2017.
This season though, he’s taken his game up a notch and added assists to his armoury.
Robertson was at it again on Sunday, setting up Roberto Firmino for his first half header against Tottenham.
And that made it nine assists for the season for the defender.
It’s an impressive total, but Duncan Alexander from Opta has revealed just how impressive it truly is.
Nine assists in a season is more than Cristiano Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso or Marc Overmars ever achieved in their Premier League careers.
Wow.
