On-loan Flamengo midfielder Andreas Pereira claims he has already moved on from his horrific error in the Copa Libertadores final.
Andreas’ mistake could not have been more costly, allowing his Palmeiras opponent to dispossess him and score in stoppage time, which proved to be the decisive action.
His Flamengo career is currently in doubt, as the Rubro-Negro have reportedly rejected his move due to failed negotiations with Manchester United.
“When I enter the field, I hear nothing. I am myself. I talk a lot with my father and friends of mine and at first, it was difficult.
“I said that I didn’t know if I would be able to turn the page and play quietly. But in training I have already felt it and in my head, I am calm.
“I remember what happened, of course, but under pressure I’m calm. People can talk, criticise, say that I’m feeling the burden, but I’m calm and I know I have to continue this way to reverse everything.”
Andreas and Flamengo will face São Paulo this Sunday.
