Andreas Hountondji officially signed with FC St. Pauli on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The Beninese player from Burnley FC has agreed to a one-season loan deal and will experience Germany's Bundesliga for the first time in his career.

After returning to Burnley following a season with Standard Liège in the Belgian Pro League, the Beninese forward will not be making his Premier League debut next season. Instead, Andreas Hountondji has packed his bags for a new adventure in Germany. "FC St. Pauli strengthens its attack with the signing of Andreas Hountondji. The 22-year-old striker will be loaned from English club Burnley for the 2025/26 season," announced the Hamburg-based club.
