It appears that both Chelsea and Andreas Christensen have the same end goal during this latest contract standoff, and that is for him to stay at the club beyond the summer when his current deal runs out.

This story is massive in the news right now and everyone has their views on it, but with the end goal being the same, you cannot help but feel it is just a matter of time before a positive conclusion for both Chelsea and Christensen is reached.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Christensen has told the Chelsea board that he wants to stay at the club, but they want the contracts to be signed right now.

It has been going on now for too long and moving of the goalposts have put a spanner in the works. Many though, do believe that it will get done and Christensen will stay as a Chelsea player for the foreseeable future.
