Andreas Christensen is determined to stay at Barcelona despite being linked with an exit, according to SPORT.

Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr are interested in signing Christensen, although it is unlikely he would be open to moving to the Middle East at this stage of his career.

The 29-year-old joined Barca on a free transfer from Chelsea in 2022 and quickly became a trusted option under Xavi Hernandez.

Christensen was a key part of the Barcelona defence that tied Deportivo La Coruna’s record for the most clean sheets in La Liga (26) in his debut season.

However, fitness problems have dropped him down the pecking order under Hansi Flick.

Christensen made just two league starts and a further three appearances off the bench due to an Achilles issue this season.

Despite this, Flick has spoken highly of the Denmark international and would have no issues working with him if he remains at the club.

Barcelona are open to a sale if the right offer arrives, as they strive to alleviate their financial struggles.

They are reportedly asking for €30 million to part ways with Christensen, who has only 12 months remaining on his current contract.

Barcelona are blessed with a plethora of options at centre-back, with Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, Ronald Araujo, Eric Garcia, Jules Kounde and Sergi Dominguez competing for places.

They were interested in a Bosman move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah before he opted to join Bayern Munich.
