“It will be a difficult and physical game. [Ivan] Jurić has given Verona a good playing style, made up of many one-on-ones and we’ll have to pay attention to all of their attributes. They are doing well.

“We know they will come at us from the first to the last minute, we shouldn’t be surprised and we need to be good at playing for each other and attacking the spaces.”

On Álvaro Morata’s and Paulo Dybala’s availability

“Morata needs to rest until Sunday. As for Dybala, we will look for the best solution to get him back as soon as possible.

“Dybala is not at risk of surgery. We will evaluate the fastest treatment to get him back into the group as soon as possible.”

On defensive and midfield injury issues

“Tomorrow, we won’t have any more players back in defence, plus we’ll be without Danilo who is suspended. Radu Drăgușin could be an option. Fortunately, Adrien Rabiot returns in midfield, so it gives us another option in that area.”

On Dejan Kulusevski’s form

“We’ve been asking Kulusevski to play a little differently to his characteristics, but he’s been doing it well. There’s a chance Federico Bernadeschi could play from beginning.

“Federico Chiesa plays well on both sides. On the right he’s a little more comfortable due to his characteristics, but he has always played excellent games on the left too. It also depends on the type of match we have to play.”

On the upcoming fixtures

“There’s a lot of matches close together but we will make it a virtue of necessity. We knew from the start that it would be like this. Plus the re-arranged game of Juventus vs Napoli. We are in the middle of this cycle of matches, we will have to do our best.”
