Speaking ahead of his Juventus sides’ Champions League clash against Barcelona on Wednesday, Andrea Pirlo – his words transcribed in Sky Italia – pointed out the numerous absences in his squad due to injury and Covid-19 cases.

The Italian also played down the importance of the match, arguably his first big test at the helm of the Bianconeri, against a struggling Barcelona side.

“These are the sorts of games that everyone wants to be playing, we have this opportunity and we can’t wait to get on the pitch and show what we can do. It’s not a decisive game, but we still what to see what our worth is.”
