Andrea Barzagli has admitted that Juventus have to be considered favourites for every competition they enter this season.

The Bianconeri have won all three of their Serie A games so far this season and have drawn Manchester United, Valencia and Young Boys in the Champions League group stages.

Having added Cristiano Ronaldo to their squad over the summer, the Old Lady are ready to attack all domestic and European fronts this term.

And the veteran defender has insisted that they are ready to own the front-runners tag.

“We are the favourites since we have accomplished a lot over the past few seasons but we will have to fight hard in the Serie A and in the UEFA Champions league,” he is quoted as saying by Calciomercato.

“Cristiano Ronaldo? We are not worried about the fact that he hasn’t scored.

“He is a great champion and it is amazing to train alongside him. I think we have a stronger squad than in past seasons but in the end, it is the results that count.

“To win a Champions league is very difficult but we now have Ronaldo who knows how to win finals.

“Let’s see. It won’t be easy, that’s for sure.”
