Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Anderlecht are closing in on a deal to sign Mihajlo Cvetkovic. The teenage striker is also of interest to both FC Köln and Nürnberg of the 2 Bundesliga, but it appears Anderlecht will beat both to his signature. The side have been interested in him for some time now and did begin conversations with the players current club back in January.
Cvetkovic currently plays for Serbian side Cukaricki, where is he under contract until 2026. According to reports, he could cost the Belgian side around €3-4m. For Anderlecht, there is a clear need to have more strikers on the books, as when Kasper Dolberg has been unable to play they have looked light upfront.
Cvetkovic, who has already been capped by the Serbian national team at senior level, has scored seven goals for Cukaricki in 27 games this season. The side finished 9th in the Serbian top flight this season and are currently in the relegation group after the league split in half.
