Real Madrid aren’t enjoying a great run of form of late. After their 2-4 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid in Copa del Rey, they have largely struggled against the likes of Almeria and Las Palmas and in order to bring the team back on track, manager Carlo Ancelotti has set a challenge for the team.
Between January 27 and February 10, Real Madrid have four matches to play, one of which has already been played.
Now, for these matches, Ancelotti decided to challenge his players to achieve the perfect score (12 points) against Las Palmas, Getafe, Atletico Madrid, and Girona, reports MARCA.
Following their 2-1 win over Las Palmas, Getafe, Atletico Madrid, and Girona are the next opponents for Real Madrid.
For what it is worth, the Las Palmas game showed that there were two very different Real Madrid teams during the match – one in the first hour and another in the last thirty minutes.
Factors like intensity, players, and the good performance of García Pimienta’s team raised questions about making changes and rotations.

Because of this, Ancelotti is unlikely to make many changes for the upcoming matches against Madrid teams. He sees the Getafe match as one of the toughest remaining in the season.
Ancelotti has a lot of respect for Getafe and their coach, especially since he has experienced a loss to them before.
Ancelotti still believes that all his players are helping in their own ways, but he’s starting to clarify everyone’s roles as the crucial part of the season gets closer.
In the upcoming match against Getafe, they’re expecting a tough and dedicated game to earn three points. They want to start strong and maintain high intensity from the beginning, so they don’t have to rush in the final minutes.
The Real Madrid coaching staff is confident that the team is ready to step up when needed, learning from past situations like the game against Las Palmas where they had to fix things in the last hour.
